🍂 Fall Into Learning with AI – November 7 Winner🍂

This week, we’re excited to celebrate Professor Davis (Faculty Training and Developments most recent winner), who is helping future educators learn how to use AI with purpose and integrity.

In her ELM-201 course, Professor Davis introduced students to GCU’s updated AI policy and created a meaningful opportunity to practice using AI responsibly while maintaining authentic learning.

Early in the term, she challenged her class to explore foundational psychology concepts with this activity:

“Read ‘Introduction to Educational Psychology Theory’ on Psychology.org. What are the five major theory groups mentioned, and how is each one defined? As a brain stretch, try putting this data into an easy-to-read table. Hint – this is a great way to utilize the ever-so-popular GCU Mosaic to help with studying! 😊 Remember to keep your written text as your own.”

Students were encouraged to use AI tools like GCU Mosaic to support learning, not replace it.

📊 In a midpoint survey, one student reflected that their most valuable takeaway was “practicing AI responsibly.”

Professor Davis plans to continue building interactive, responsible-AI activities that align with GCU’s mission and help students explore both the potential and ethical boundaries of AI in education.

👏 Way to go, Professor Davis! Thank you for modeling ethical innovation and empowering tomorrow’s educators to think critically, use technology responsibly, and learn with integrity.
